Cheapest gas in the country
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — You may want to fill up your tank. A significant price war is currently occurring in the Wyoming area resulting in cheap gas prices.
GasBuddy’s senior petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan said Family Fare, located on the corner of 28th Street and Burlingame Avenue SW, is currently the second cheapest gas station in the country. Family Fare is charging $2.09 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas, which is about 40 cents under the current Grand Rapids average of .50 per gallon.
Many motorists may not know the prices are so low at Family Fare because the main sign is not working.
DeHaan warned that these prices may not last long as stations in the metro Grand Rapids area are losing a considerable amount of money as a result of the price war.
