Gas prices Austin
Gasoline prices have been steadily falling for the past few months, and some local stations are again selling regular unleaded gasoline for less than $2 per gallon. GasBuddy.com, which tracks prices at the pump, on Thursday listed more than 35 stores in the Austin metro area with prices at $2 per gallon or less.
The average price per gallon in the Austin metro area isn’t yet below the $2 figure — it dropped to $2.15 per gallon, auto club AAA Texas said Thursday – but industry analysts say prices could continue to drop because demand typically drops in the fall.
