Our Community - CabotWe take pride in being a true part of the community. Our employees are volunteers, serve on nonprofit Boards, and are members of the local volunteer fire departments. As a company we strive to match their dedication and commitment to the areas we live and operate in by funding three main pillars of the community: history, health and education.

Dennis Farm Charitable Land Trust

The is a unique 153-acre piece of property which has been owned by the same family of free African Americans who moved to Pennsylvania from Connecticut in 1793. The history and heritage of the land has been featured and studied by historians from across the country and will be included in the newly created .

Endless Mountains Health Systems

serves a large, rural area and its facilities had simply aged past their lifespan. Seeing the need for a facility to match the quality of care provided by the nurses and physicians, Cabot donated $1 million to help kick-start fundraising for a new physician’s clinic to be built. In early 2012 the Cabot/EMHS Community Match Fund was created to match dollar-for-dollar all donations from individuals, organizations and companies up to $1 million. In just four months, the $1 million goal was shattered and along with a generous grant from the Weinberg Foundation, a grand total of $4.4 million dollars raised allowed for the completion of physician’s clinic. The hospital opened to patients in the fall of 2014.

Lackawanna College School of Petroleum & Natural Gas

was founded in Susquehanna County just as the Marcellus Shale industry was beginning to build. Since its creation, the School has developed a world-class program which has a job placement rate for graduates of nearly 100%. In April of 2014, Cabot announced a $2.5 million endowment to the college to continue to improve the curriculum to meet the ever-changing needs of the industry and provide equipment for hands-on learning by the students.

To learn more about the above projects and about all that Cabot is doing in its area of operations in both community involvement and environmental protection.
